HBO has unveiled a fresh trailer and announced the premiere date for new limited series The Sympathizer.
Adapted from Viet Thanh Nguyen's acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, this limited series blends elements of a spy thriller and satire. The narrative revolves around Captain (portrayed by Hoa Xuande), a dual French-Vietnamese communist operative navigating the tumultuous final days of the Vietnam War and his subsequent existence as a refugee in Los Angeles. Despite his relocation, he discovers that his espionage endeavors are far from over.
Joining Xuande in the cast are Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Phanxine, Vy Le, Ky Duyen, Kieu Chinh, Duy Nguyen, Alan Trong, Sandra Oh, and Robert Downey Jr.
The series is set to debut on April 14th, airing on HBO and Max. Check out the trailer below!
