Paramount+ has unveiled the trailer for the second season of Lioness, the action-packed spy drama created by Taylor Sheridan, featuring Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman. The new season is set to premiere on October 27th.
The trailer features Joe (Zoe Saldana) interrogating a new operative about her love for her country, interspersed with intense action sequences. These include U.S. soldiers engaged in gunfights, vehicle chases, a car plunging into a river, and a helicopter taking off. We also see Joe navigating several emotional moments as her job challenges her to the breaking point.
Alongside Joe's storyline, the trailer teases a sense of mystery surrounding CIA senior supervisor Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman), whose home appears to be broken into, revealing an unidentified body on the floor.
The cast also includes Morgan Freeman as U.S. Secretary of State Edwin Mullins, Michael Kelly as CIA Deputy Director Byron Westfield, Laysla De Oliveira as Sergeant Cruz Manuelos, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett and James Jordan. Newcomers to this season include Genesis Rodriguez, Max Martini, Kirk Acevedo, and Patricia De Leon.
